Today:   an extended conversation with Valparaiso Mayor Jon Costas.  The mayor talks about the status of the city's U.S. 30 corridor project, other improvements made to neighborhoods around downtown Valpo, the quest for affordable housing in his city and what he plans to work on in 2019, as he wraps up his term of office.  He covers a lot of ground in this interview.

We bring you another edition of "Green Fleet Radio," made possible with the support of South Shore Clean Cities.  This time, Carl Lisek talks about propane with Tucker Perkins, CEO of The Propane Education & Research Council.

A new K-8 "blended" public school is opening this fall in Gary and is seeking students.  Gary Digital Academy is part of the Gary Community Schools.  Principal Rachel Goodwin joins us to talk about the school, what it offers and how students can learn through both an online and in-person classroom setting.

And Valparaiso University's Institute for Leadership and Service is beginning its fall semester "Pathways to Purpose" speaker series tonight, with an musical theme.  Thais Carter from the Institute talks about all the speakers in this upcoming series, which runs through November 7th .
