Originally from Hammond, IN -- KENNY JAMES is an award-winning entertainer who has performed throughout the country since relocating down South many years ago.  His accolades include receiving the "#1 Buddy Holly Tribute Artists Award" in Las Vegas and "Best Entertainer" in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.    

KENNY JAMES returned to his home turf for the holidays to perform a pair of live concerts with his band -- RAVE ON! -- at The Memorial Opera House in Valparaiso, Indiana (Saturday, Dec. 16) and at The Acorn Theater in Three Oaks, Michigan (Sunday, Dec. 17).  This weekend marked Kenny's first time performing in each of the venues. Joining Kenny on the radio show and serving as the in-studio guest co-host for the program was Mishawaka, Indiana's own TIM DUDLEY, who also performed on the Memorial Opera House gig on December 16th.   

"Midwest BEAT" welcomed Kenny and Tim to talk about their live shows and respective careers, while also spinning tunes from ELVIS PRESLEY, BUDDY HOLLY and other 1950s music greats. 

Tom Lounges chats with TIM DUDLEY and KENNY JAMES, artists who respectively pay tribute to ELVIS PRESLEY and BUDDY HOLLY.


Tom Lounges has been a region radio personality and a music journalist since 1979. For the last 35-years, he has been reporting on entertainment as a weekly columnist and feature writer for The Times newspaper. He was also publisher and editor of the monthly tri-state entertainment magazine ("Midwest BEAT Magazine") for over two decades, he has written hundreds of features for numerous national glossy magazines over the decades, and he wrote "Liner Notes" for over a dozen albums release by Sony Records.
