Today:    Tom Pappas of the city of Portage veterans committee returns to the studio for an update on local and area veterans issues including the Veterans Experience Program, a special initiative sought by the new director of the Jesse Brown VA Hospital in Chicago.  It's an effort to improve services for northwest Indiana veterans who come to the Crown Point outpatient clinic and for rural veterans who are assisted elsewhere.

The dean of the Valparaiso University School of Law is being recognized as a "legal legacy" by the American Constitutional Society.  Because of her work, Illinois and other states have halted the death penalty.  Lakeshore Public Radio's Steven Lattimore was on hand for the recognition ceremony, and he has a report.

And we have a conversation with World Wildlife Fund senior policy advisor and author Dr. David Reed, about the implications and risks of the use -- and abuse -- of water around the planet and what it means for Americans in particular.  Dr. Reed's book is titled "Water, Security and U.S. Foreign Policy."
