Today: An extended conversation with Lake Station Mayor Christopher Anderson. He chose not to run for re-election in the Democratic Party primary election this year. Anderson was city court judge when he was elected Mayor in 2015 and he led the city through the years following the corruption conviction of Keith Soderquist and members of his family. Among the events of Anderson's term as Mayor include the city's $20.7 million sale of the waterworks to Indiana-American Water Co. (a sale now under Indiana Court of Appeals review). He talks with us about what he wants to do after leaving office at the end of this year.
We also bring back our conversation with Indinaa Landmarks northern regional director Todd Zeiger on the "House of Tomorrow" and the proposal to offer a 50-year lease to the nonprofit that takes on its preservation project.
