On August 10, 2022, President Joe Biden signed the PACT Act into law. The PACT Act expands health care and benefits to millions of Veterans exposed to burn pits and other toxic substances. Lakeshore Public Radio's Dee Dotson speaks with Ronald S. Burke, Jr., Under Secretary, Office of Policy & Oversight, Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) about this is monumental piece of legislation, representing perhaps the largest expansion of Veterans benefits in history.
