Off Mic: A New Cuban Crisis and the U.S. Role

There is continued unrest in Cuba.

Cubans on the communist island nation 90 miles from the Florida coast have grown increasingly frustrated with their government due to an economic crisis that’s lead to food scarcity, power cuts, inflation and a growing number of covid-19 deaths.

We talk to a native of the island what he thinks the U.S.’s proper role in this should be;

And, as we speak, the opening ceremonies for the Olympic Games in Japan is happening. We’ll talk to a Chicago Tribune reporter who is covering the games;

And, trade talks heat up for the slumping Cubs while the White Sox welcome back a popular player after a one-day retirement.

All this on Off Mic.
