CHARBONNEAU WELCOMES STATE HEALTH COMMISSIONER TO FIRST HEALTH COMMITTEE MEETING

State Sen. Ed Charbonneau (R-Valparaiso, left) welcomes Indiana State Health (ISDH) Commissioner Dr. Jerome Adams (right) to present a status report on the health of Indiana during the first meeting of the Senate Committee on Health and Provider Services Wednesday, Jan. 12.

The five priorities the ISDH focuses on include addressing the opioid epidemic, reducing infant mortality rates, reducing adult obesity rates, reducing adult smoking rates, ensuring preparedness for infectious disease and getting people enrolled in the Healthy Indiana Plan.
