Today:   "Regionally Speaking's" Reporters' Roundtable includes "Post-Tribune" reporter Amy Lavalley's conversation with "Off Mic" host Michael Puente, on her story on Hammond resident and conservative influencer Kash Lee Kelly's arrest following the U.S. Capitol building assault earlier this month.  "Times" business reporter Joseph Pete also talks about his recent stories in print and online.  And Indiana Youth Instiute president-CEO Tami Silverman talks about her latest column, written and released in observance of Mentor Month. She speaks in particular about the I.Y.I. initiative MENTOR Indiana.

Today:  We recognize this Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day with his "I Have A Dream" speech from 1963 and Indiana University  Northwest's theatrical presentation on Tuesday with  James Wallace, the director of Diversity, Equality and  Multicultural Affairs.  Indiana Youth Institute president and CEO Tami Silverman talks about Indiana National Mentoring Month and the IYI's special initiative called Mentor Indiana. We also bring back our conversations with Diana Rosenthal, jazz educator at Merrillville High School and jazz educator and musician Charkey Harrison, who was commissioned by MHS to prepare a piece he wrote for the school's Jazz Club.

Today:  We talk with Melanie Dunajeski and Shelbie Byers, two management-side labor and employment attorneys who were the guest speakers at today's "Morning Mingle" session at the Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce office in Merrillville.   Their topic: what to expect in labor and employment law from the incoming Trump administration.

Lakeshore Public Radio's Steven Lattimore visited the Veterans Cafe in Merrillville to not only sample the food but talk to those at the cafe who benefit from the business' mission of helping local veterans.
