Taylor University is the latest US college to cancel a study abroad program in China because of the threat of the Wuhan coronavirus. As IPR’s Stephanie Wiechmann reports, this was supposed to be the program’s inaugural semester.
The Taylor University business study abroad program was supposed to be headquartered in Xian, which is about 500 miles away from the epicenter of the virus, Wuhan. But in a statement, Taylor Dean of International Programs Charles Brainer says it is cancelling the program as a precaution.
