“MIDWEST BEAT with Tom Lounges”

Musical Guest: JOE BONSALL of the Oak Ridge Boys

It just wouldn’t be Christmas in Northwest Indiana without a visit and a boatload of Christmas Carols from honorary Hoosiers, THE OAK RIDGE BOYS, who have performed at Star Plaza Theatre in Merrillville, IN every holiday season since the 3,400-seat venue was built in 1979; and before that at the Bridgeview Theatre in Valparaiso, IN.

Keeping with tradition, The Oak Ridge Boys Christmas Show makes its annual stop at Star Plaza Theatre on Sunday, December 20th for a 4:00pm performance with special guests including Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus.   The Star Plaza show will be a tasty mix of Christmas songs, gospel songs and the group’s best loved hits, including — “Elvira.”

This edition of “Midwest BEAT with Tom Lounges” features Oak Ridge Boy and book author JOE BONSALL – to chat about the group’s long career, current Christmas Show, his fondness for cats, and his latest book, “On The Road With The Oak Ridge Boys,”

Of course there will be plenty of Oak Ridge Boys music — both Christmas favorites and radio hits — slipped in between the interview segments.  Get in the spirit of Christmas with Joe Bonsall of the Mighty Oaks tonight on Midwest BEAT!
