“Times” chief political reporter Dan Carden shares the latest on politics locally as well as at the statehouse in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Joseph Pete  business reporter for the “Times” looks at what will happen to the local economy as businesses slowly reopen. Plus U. S. Representative Pete Visclosky joins us to talk about everything from how Congress is working to tackle concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic to Hoosier politics.

Today:  An at-length conversation with Jeff Good, the president of the Porter County Board of Commissioners, about the board's upcoming bond issue-driven county building upgrade and drainage improvement program for South Haven.  Projects in this expansive program are scheduled to begin this year.  They will be financed by the county's foundation with the interest generated by the sale of the Porter County hospital.

Today: we revisit our conversation with State Rep. Charlie Brown (D-Gary), who is about to begin his final session in Indianapolis next week.  He joined us live on the air back in November, the day he announced that he was not running for re-election and was interested in local public office.

We also bring back our conversation with Michael Martinez, who along with his wife Mary created "Hannah's Hope," a non-profit that honors his late daughter Hannah by helping other young people through playgrounds.

Today:  A conversation with noted Indiana economist, writer and speaker Morton Marcus about his "Eye on the Pie" columns that focus on the Hoosier economy and related issues.

Donna Stuckert from the Porter County Recycling and Waste Reduction District joins us to talk about composting those discarded leaves, pumpkins and gourds from the Halloween decorations at the county's composting operation.  She also talks about the upcoming "America Recycles Day," and the Porter County  Master Recycler program, which is seeking applicants for 2018 classes.
